Rules
Please understand that this handbook is meant to be a general guideline and may be subject to change/revision. This booklet serves only as a supplement to the constitution and by-laws while helping you get off to an informed start with your membership. As time passes, we hope that you will see it as a valuable reference to your specific membership rights, privileges and responsibilities.
It is the responsibility of the member to keep abreast of any changes to rules. The large signs posted are for attention and only a summary. These rules can be modified at any time by ACWCC to meet changing needs. Updates rules will be posted at the ranges and on our club website. Check for new postings before using ranges.
We hope that you will come often, stay long and enjoy our club!
Members who fail to abide by the rules are subject to privilege suspension, membership revocation and will not be considered for membership in the future.
*Range usage is determined by club schedule (see calendar of events page)
As a member of this club you are responsible legally and financially for injury to another person or property that you damage. This is your club; your dues maintain it. Please respect it.
Please note all signs regarding safety and usage rules on firearms range's.
The Sportsman Club Board of Directors has banned any explosive/incendiary material for target or other purposes. Tannerite and Star Targets would be an example, but so would any improvised explosive/incendiary devices.
Procedures
Weather:
The range bays are not fully sheltered. If it's sunny, you may partially be in the sun. If raining, you may be partially in the rain. Bring what's appropriate to you for the day's weather forecast. Not all events are canceled due to the weather (with the exception of extreme weather, i.e. - tornado, severe storms/lightning). If a tornado warning, severe weather warning is issued for the area or lightning is occurring, all ranges must be vacated and participants are to seek the closest immediate shelter for safety until the warning has cleared.
Emergencies:
For medical, fire and all other emergencies on premises/grounds, immediately call 9-1-1 and as time permits alert any Club Officer, Safety Officer, Division/Program Director or person(s) trained in First Aid/CPR that may be on site for additional help. Please notify Club Administration at earliest convenience by calling 270-681-0365 of any emergency that may exist or occurring on club grounds.
